Fixing windows xp
I would only recomend reading on if you cant even get onto the login screen or desktop. Also if there are lots of files you essentially need and that you cant get rid of then dont read on sorry. First you must locate your windows xp disk and put it in your disk drive. Next reboot your computer and press delete repetdly untl it brings up the bios. When you are in the bios go to boot settings and make it so that the first thing that your computer checks is the disk drive. Then save and exit and re boot again. When you re boot this time when it starts up it should say “press any key to boot from cd…” press any key and then wait for it to load. Then when it comes up you want to format your hard drive and then re install windows. Wait for this prosses to happen. Then it will come up with a menu about language take it slowly and dont lie use the truth as it may help later if there are further problems. Carry on the instalation and then it will say welcome to xp or something like that and then you have to put in setting for your computer (personalise options). Do not lie at any time in the proses and make sure that you keep your computer name the same becuase it just causes less problems. If at any time there is a bit that you cant fill try leaving it and if that dosent work just click skip in the bottom right hand corner. When you are on the desktop of your new computer the first thing to do is to go on GOOGLE not ask etc and get and anti virus becuase scans show that it takes 1 hour without an anti virus protection to get a virus so… I would recoment Avast or AVG also Spybot is good to have but its not compulsary. When you have got your anti virus software install all the latest windows updates and get the latest service pack. Also after that you must find out your computer specs and for any items that need drivers (graphics cards etc) you must re install those from the nessary websites eg nvidia graphics card you would need to go to www.nvidia .com and find it etc.
